La exposición "La Esencia de la Existencia" de Mónica Villalvazo Cámara, que se presenta en el Museo de la Isla de Cozumel, trasciende la mera estética para convertirse en un proyecto de profunda resonancia social y espiritual. La artista utiliza la abstracción lírica y material como un vehículo de sanación personal y apoyo comunitario, demostrando que el arte, en su expresión más pura, puede ser una fuerza vital de cambio.
Hay un fuerte anclaje en la materialidad, con énfasis en la madera de ricas texturas oscuras y terrosas (marrón óxido, caoba), que otorga a las piezas una sensación de antigüedad y conexión con lo natural.
Otras piezas rectangulares exploran la fluidez, con texturas que evocan el agua y los reflejos, sugiriendo la naturaleza cambiante e inestable de la emoción.
"Sentí que ya estaba preparada para compartir mi arte abiertamente. Y se conjugó con que quería hacer una colección para donar a la Fundación Comunitaria Oaxaca."
La totalidad de la venta de esta colección está destinada a financiar estudios de niños en una escuela rural de Oaxaca. La artista confiesa que su labor diaria estuvo inspirada por la "resiliencia de los niños que quieren prepararse y salir adelante".
El recibimiento del público fue "simplemente espectacular", con comentarios que confirman la conexión íntima que su arte establece: "Siento que mucha gente conecta con la obra y conmigo a través de mi arte."
La colección fue también un ejercicio de cuestionamiento de la dualidad. Tras sentir la trinidad en una obra y la dualidad en otras, el aprendizaje final fue que "todo existe, pues la dualidad y la trinidad también se convierte en unidad."
La instalación y el trabajo museogràfico y curatorial jugaron un papel crucial en la experiencia, con una iluminación dramática que enfatiza el contraste entre la oscuridad de la materia y la luminosidad del espíritu.
La pintora dedicó un emotivo reconocimiento a la museógrafa Sako, a quien describió como una "curadora extraordinaria de nivel mundial":
"Sako supo escuchar mi alma y traducir con una delicadeza absolutamente impecable el mensaje más puro de este proyecto... Agradezco haberla conocido y haberme sentido abrazada y con confianza, es una curadora de arte y una curadora del alma."
Finalmente, agradeció a Dado André Villalvazo por la "música medicinal que da alma a cada obra" y a Marta Sarramian del Rio por la "sensibilidad y la delicadeza" con la que plasmó su sentir con poesía en cada pieza.

Estas capas oscuras, que la artista interpreta como las "capas del ser" (físico, mental, emocional), se contrastan magistralmente con una banda horizontal de color claro y etéreo: la Línea de Luz. Esta línea luminosa, en tonos menta, blanco o azul pálido, es la metáfora del amor, el núcleo o la fuerza vital inmutable que atraviesa la existencia, sirviendo como eje de simetría y horizonte emocional.

La obra de Villalvazo Cámara se alimenta de una profunda búsqueda filosófico-metafísica, un "reflejo de mi propio desarrollo consciencial personal". Su arte es el registro visual de ese viaje que es la esencia de la existencia:
La artista describe un estado de profunda inmersión creativa donde "no siento que yo esté pintando, sino que el acto de pintar simplemente está sucediendo", a veces acompañada de sus ancestros. Este acto busca capturar la idea de que "todo está interconectado y emana de una única fuente: el amor."

Su obra explora el concepto de tiempo no lineal, donde pasado, presente y futuro coexisten. Este acercamiento le ha permitido trabajar en la "sanación total del ADN" de su linaje. Piezas como "Alquimia ancestral 9" fueron un ejercicio de limpieza de los embarazos de las mujeres de su linaje, culminando en "código de conciencia" donde se plasma el "ADN ya curado."

- ¿Cómo llegó la idea de mostrar tu trabajo “La esencia de la existencia” en el museo de la isla?
-Por que sentí que ya estaba preparada para compartir mi arte abiertamente. Y se conjugó con que quería hacer una colección para donar a la fundación comunitaria Oaxaca, ya que el 100% de la venta se va para estudios de niños en Oaxaca de una escuela rural y mi forma de aportar fué hacer algo con mis manos y pintar .
- ¿A podrías decirnos alguna anécdota o experiencia que tuviste durante el proceso de tu obra expuesta? ¿Algo que no hayas mencionado antes públicamente?
- Fuè un año de trabajo completo, cada día inspirada por la resilencia de los niños que quieren prepararse y salir adelante .
- ¿Cómo sentiste el recibimiento del público asistente en la noche inaugural, qué comentarios recibiste, etc.?
-El recibimiento del público asistente en la noche de la inaguración fué simplemente espectacular, me sentí en familia, comentarios que llenan el alma esa noche y aún los sigo recibiendo cuando la gente visita la expo, en la libreta hay mensajes preciosos, y todos los días me llegan mensajes a mi teléfono , siento que mucha gente conecta con la obra y conmigo a través de mi arte.
- ¿Qué opinión tienes sobre el desempeño curatorial y museográfico de la museográfa Sako?
- Sako ea una curadora extraordinaria de nivel mundial, Sako supo escuchar mi alma y traducir con una delicadeza absolutamente impecable el mensaje más puro de este proyecto.
Sako Tiene un talento y una sensibilidad muy grande. Agradezco haberla conocido y haberme sentido abrazada y con confianza, es una curadora de arte y una curadora del alma. Impecable su trabajo.
- Hemos dado lectura a tu libro de obra que ilustra tu trabajo exhibido refleja un espíritu filosófico-metafísico. ¿Podrías compartirnos algunos acercamientos y experiencias de este acontecer de desarrollo consciencial personal ?
- Esa es una observación muy perspicaz. Me alegra que mi libro de obra haya resonado contigo en ese nivel.
La búsqueda de lo filosófico-metafísico no es tanto un tema que elijo, sino una lente a través de la cual inevitablemente percibo el mundo y, por ende, mi trabajo. Es un reflejo de mi propio desarrollo consciencial personal.
Me gustaría compartir acercamientos y experiencias clave que han marcado este proyecto.
Experiencia: Lo llamo "el momento del lienzo". Hay veces, cuando estoy profundamente inmersa en la creación, que no siento que yo esté pintando, sino que el acto de pintar simplemente está sucediendo y a veces acompañada de mis ancestros que ya se fueròn.
Mi mano, el pincel, la pintura y mi conciencia son un solo proceso. Mi obra busca capturar esa sensación: la idea de que todo está interconectado y emana de una única fuente " el amor."
En esencia, mi desarrollo consciencial es un camino de desidentificación con el ego para conectar con esa conciencia mayor. Mi obra es simplemente el registro visual de ese viaje que es la esencia de la existencia.
* Acercamiento: ciertas prácticas contemplativas me han permitido experimentar, aunque sea momentáneamente, un estado donde la distinción entre el observador y lo observado se disuelve.
Mi obra explora mucho el concepto de tiempo no lineal, (pasado, presente y futuro coexistiendo en el ahora, pasado y futuro). Esto me lleva a mi, an mis ancestros , y a futuras generaciones a llevar un ADN en sanaciòn total.
En la obra "Alquimia ancestral 9" juguè y limpiè en todos los tiempos los embarazos de todas. Las mujeres de mi linaje. Y en obra de "código de conciencia"plasmè el ADN ya curado.
La Experiencia de la Unidad o Non-Duality
Uno de los principales ejercicios de esta colección es el cuestionamiento de la dualidad A menudo, experimentamos la vida como dual , Pero si observamos y sentimos bièn en realidad no existe como tal, es más bièn una illusión ,En código de conciencia una de las obras ,en realidad entendí y sentí la trinidad .
Y luego en otras obras entendí que si existe la dualidad.
Luego el aprendizaje final fuè que todo existe , pues la dualidad y la trinidad también se convierte en unidad .
-¿Cuáles son tus siguientes proyectos a realizar en el ámbito del arte?
- "Mi camino creativo es un misterio guiado por el propósito. Después de esta exposición con causa, mi enfoque seguirá siendo buscar la inspiración y las oportunidades para seguir aportando valor y generando un impacto positivo en la sociedad. Para mí, es un honor y un placer trabajar por aquellas causas que realmente lo necesitan. El lienzo y el pincel siempre estarán listos para responder al siguiente llamado del corazón."
- ¿ Algo más que desees compartirnos?
Aradezco a Art News Cozumel por este espacio y por el tiempo, por compartir un poco de la Exposición. Agradezco también a quienes colaboraron en esta exposición: a Dado André por la música medicinal que da alma a cada obra; y a Marta, por la sensibilidad y la delicadeza con la que supo plasmar mi sentir, con la poesía, en cada obra.

La Esencia
Donde la Materia se hace eco y cuna,
círculo eterno, óvalo, no hay laguna.
La mano del artista teje en su paño
un arte que es refugio, amor sin engaño.
En el recinto, la sombra es el telón,
y la luz, un cuchillo de revelación.
De la textura oscura, terrena y profunda,
nace el alma, que en capas se funda.
Una Línea Clara cruza el corazón,
es el eje, el pulso, la sanación.
Un horizonte etéreo de tonos menta y azul,
donde el amor esencial se asienta.
No es solo pintura, es causa y es raíz,
inspirada en el niño, en la región, feliz.
Un año de aliento, un pincel constante,
por la resiliencia del alma anhelante.
La figura curatorial, escucha de cristal,
traduce el mensaje, lo vuelve inmortal.
No solo es oficio, es abrazo y confianza,
la forma impecable que el alma alcanza.
La mano se ausenta, el acto sucede,
el ego se disuelve, el miedo se cede.
Un viaje que no es línea, no es solo presente,
sino un Código Curado en el alma consciente.
Se limpió la alquimia, el linaje en su lecho,
pasado y futuro unidos en el pecho.
La Dualidad se asoma, la Trinidad se siente,
y en la Unidad final, todo es permanente.
Con música sutil y verso poético,
la obra es un eco que el tiempo descarta.
Cada pieza una historia, un latido ofrecido,

The exhibition "The Essence of Existence" by Mónica Villalvazo Cámara, currently on display at the Cozumel Island Museum, transcends mere aesthetics to become a project of profound social and spiritual resonance. The artist uses lyrical and material abstraction as a vehicle for personal healing and community support, demonstrating that art, in its purest expression, can be a vital force for change.
There is a strong grounding in materiality, with an emphasis on wood with rich, dark, and earthy textures (rust brown, mahogany), which lends the pieces a sense of antiquity and connection to nature.
Other rectangular pieces explore fluidity, with textures that evoke water and reflections, suggesting the ever-changing and unstable nature of emotion.
"I felt I was ready to share my art openly. And it coincided with my desire to create a collection to donate to the Oaxaca Community Foundation."
All proceeds from the sale of this collection will fund the education of children at a rural school in Oaxaca. The artist confesses that her daily work was inspired by the "resilience of children who want to prepare themselves and get ahead."

The collection was also an exercise in questioning duality. After experiencing trinity in one piece and duality in others, the final lesson was that "everything exists, because duality and trinity also become unity."

The painter offered a heartfelt tribute to the curator Sako, whom she described as an "extraordinary, world-class curator":
"Sako knew how to listen to my soul and translate the purest message of this project with absolutely impeccable delicacy... I am grateful to have met her and to have felt embraced and trusted; she is an art curator and a curator of the soul."
Finally, she thanked Dado André for the "medicinal music that gives soul to each work" and Marta for the "sensitivity and delicacy" with which she poetically captured her feelings in each piece.
"The Essence of Existence" is, ultimately, an act of faith, an aesthetic commitment elevated by its conceptual content, inviting the viewer to profound introspection and demonstrating that art can be the most powerful engine of consciousness.
The work exhibits a powerful visual cohesion, dominated by abstraction and the intentional use of geometric forms. The circle and the oval prevail, symbolizing unity, eternity, and wholeness—essential aspects of the love that the exhibition celebrates.
These dark layers, which the artist interprets as the "layers of being" (physical, mental, emotional), are masterfully contrasted with a horizontal band of light and ethereal color: the Line of Light. This luminous line, in shades of mint, white, or pale blue, is a metaphor for love, the core or immutable life force that permeates existence, serving as an axis of symmetry and an emotional horizon.
In an interview, Villalvazo Cámara revealed that her decision to exhibit after a full year of work combined artistic maturity with a firm altruistic purpose:

- How did the idea of showing your work “The Essence of Existence” at the island's museum come about?
- Because I felt I was ready to share my art openly. And it coincided with my desire to create a collection to donate to the Oaxaca Community Foundation, since 100% of the sales go towards the education of children in a rural school in Oaxaca, and my way of contributing was to create something with my hands and paint.
- Could you tell us an anecdote or experience you had during the process of creating your exhibited work? Anything you haven't mentioned publicly before?
- It was a full year of work, each day inspired by the resilience of the children who want to prepare themselves and get ahead.
- How did you feel about the reception from the audience on opening night? What comments did you receive, etc.?
-The reception from the public on opening night was simply spectacular. I felt like I was with family. The comments that filled my soul that night, and I continue to receive them when people visit the exhibition, are still filled with beautiful messages in my notebook. I get messages on my phone every day. I feel that many people connect with the work and with me through my art.
- What is your opinion of Sako's curatorial and museographic work?
- Sako is an extraordinary curator of world-class caliber. Sako knew how to listen to my soul and translate the purest message of this project with absolutely impeccable delicacy.
Sako has immense talent and sensitivity. I am grateful to have met her and to have felt embraced and trusted. She is an art curator and a curator of the soul. Her work is impeccable.
- We have read your book of works, which illustrates your exhibited pieces and reflects a philosophical-metaphysical spirit. Could you share some insights and experiences from this journey of personal conscious development?
That's a very insightful observation. I'm glad my book of work resonated with you on that level.
The search for the philosophical-metaphysical isn't so much a theme I choose, but rather a lens through which I inevitably perceive the world and, therefore, my work. It's a reflection of my own personal conscious development.
I'd like to share some key approaches and experiences that have shaped this project.
Experience: I call it "the moment of the canvas." There are times, when I'm deeply immersed in the creative process, that I don't feel like I'm painting, but rather that the act of painting is simply happening, sometimes accompanied by my ancestors who have passed on.
My hand, the brush, the paint, and my consciousness are a single process. My work seeks to capture that feeling: the idea that everything is interconnected and emanates from a single source: "love."
In essence, my conscious development is a path of disidentifying with the ego to connect with that higher consciousness. My work is simply the visual record of that journey, which is the essence of existence.
* Approach: Certain contemplative practices have allowed me to experience, even if only momentarily, a state where the distinction between observer and observed dissolves.
My work extensively explores the concept of non-linear time (past, present, and future coexisting in the now, past, and future). This leads me, my ancestors, and future generations to carry a DNA in total healing.
In the work "Ancestral Alchemy 9," I played with and cleansed the pregnancies of all the women in my lineage throughout all time. And in the work "Code of Consciousness," I embodied the already healed DNA.
The Experience of Unity or Non-Duality
One of the main exercises in this collection is questioning duality. We often experience life as dual, but if we truly observe and feel, it doesn't really exist as such; it's more of an illusion. In "Code of Consciousness," one of the works, I truly understood and felt the trinity.
And then in other works, I understood that duality does exist.
The final lesson was that everything exists, because duality and trinity also become unity.
-What are your next projects in the art world?
- "My creative path is a mystery guided by purpose. After this exhibition for a cause, my focus will continue to be on seeking inspiration and opportunities to keep adding value and generating a positive impact on society. For me, it is an honor and a pleasure to work for those causes that truly need it. The canvas and brush will always be ready to answer the next call of the heart."
- Is there anything else you'd like to share?
