  Interesante concepto que se maneja en esta serie de obras fotográficas donde el punto de enfoque es la experiencia de la autora con un aspecto de su salud, "Síhil es una búsqueda de la re significación de la menstruación a través de entrar en mi interior, de redescubrirme como mujer, de reconciliarme con mi propio cuerpo, de comprenderlo y honrarlo, es encontrar en cada menstruación una oportunidad para volver a nacer".

 

 

Es recomendable visitar  la sala de exhibición temporal 2 del museo de la isla de Cozumel  para contemplar un  mundo femenino donde la fertilidad-sangre es un sendero de imágenes de distintividad de creación y un discurso bien elaborado de trascendencia humana que dio luz una joven cozumeleña de 28 años de edad cuyo proyecto tuvo dos años de elaboración. "Intento proyectar ese mundo interno en el mundo exterior que se me presenta donde se conjuga lo crudo con lo simbólico, lo poético"

A continuación una breve entrevista a Jimena Horta que compartió a Art News Cozumel:

-¿Que te motivo a realizar esta obra Síihil que expones y porque decidiste en esta ocasión presentarla en el museo se la isla de Cozumel?

-Mi motivo principal fue una experiencia personal que consistió en perder la menstruación y después haberla recuperado. También pretendo visibilizar un tema que ha sido tabú a lo largo de la historia, creo que es importante hablar de ello y romper estigmas. Decidí exponerla en el Museo de la Isla de Cozumel porque aquí crecí y porque me parece el lugar digno para mostrar el proyecto. 

-¿Fue de tu agrado la forma en que se presentó tu obra en el museo de la isla?

-Me gustó mucho la manera en la que se presentó la obra, definitivamente sí.

- ¿Te gustó la museografia realizada?

-La museografía me pareció muy atinada y con un recorrido ¡muy interesante!

 Interesting concept that is handled in this series of photographic works where the point of focus is the experience of the author with her menstruation, "Síhil is a search for the re-signification of menstruation through entering into my inner self, to rediscover myself as a woman, to reconcile myself with my own body, to understand and honor it, it is to find in each menstruation an opportunity to be born again". 

It is advisable to visit the temporary exhibition room 2 of the museum on the island of Cozumel to contemplate a feminine world where fertility-blood is a path of images of distinctiveness of creation and a well-crafted discourse of human transcendence that gave birth to a young 28-year-old Cozumelian whose project took two years of elaboration. "I try to project that inner world in the outer world that is presented to me where the raw is combined with the symbolic, the poetic".

Following is a brief interview with Jimena Horta that she shared with Art News Cozumel:

-¿What motivated you to create this work Síihil that you are exhibiting and why did you decide to present it in the museum on the island of Cozumel?

-My main motive was a personal experience that consisted of losing my menstruation and then recovering it. I also intend to make visible a topic that has been taboo throughout history, I think it is important to talk about it and break stigmas. I decided to exhibit it at the Cozumel Island Museum because I grew up here and because it seems to me a worthy place to show the project. 

-¿Did you like the way your work was presented at the island's museum?

-I really liked the way the work was presented, definitely yes.

- ¿Did you like the museography?

-The museography seemed to me to be very well thought out and with a very interesting tour!
