Mark Phelan
Nacido y criado en Dublín, Irlanda, Mark asistió a las escuelas de arte y diseño de Dublín. Vivió en Europa durante varios años, pero se mudó a la ciudad de Nueva York para involucrarse en la próspera escena artística, teatral y musical. Moya Mendez
Nació en Londres, Inglaterra, y se mudó a México en los años ochenta después de viajar por Europa e India. Se estableció en Cozumel, sintiéndose atraída por la vibrante simplicidad de la vida isleña. Es artista y diseñadora, y tiene una gran pasión por el misticismo espiritual de India y Tíbet, donde viaja con frecuencia para retiros de meditación budista e inspiración. Su arte es su forma de entender y expresar su propio viaje interior, el cual es a veces alegre, doloroso, confuso y profundamente gratificante. Moya ha exhibido y vendido su trabajo en varios países alrededor del mundo, como Francia, Londres, Nepal y México.
Este conjunto de obras titulado "Bendiciones" ha sido inspirado por sus recientes viajes a Europa, India, Nepal, Australia y Japón. Las pinturas reflejan pensamientos, sentimientos y lugares, tanto geográficos como psicológicos.
Moya Mendez
Born in London, England and moved to Mexico in the eighties after traveling through Europe and India. She settled in Cozumel, feeling drawn to the vibrant simplicity of island life. She is an artist and designer, and is passionate about spiritual mysticism from India and Tibet, where she travels frequently for Buddhist meditation retreats and inspiration. Her art is her way of understanding and expressing her own inner journey, which is at times joyful, painful, confusing and deeply fulfilling. Moya has exhibited and sold her work worldwide in several countries such as France, London, Nepal and Mexico.
This body of work entitled "Blessings" has been inspired by a year of travel to Europe, Nepal and Japan. The paintings invite the viewer to reflect on the stillness of the present moment, when our thoughts slow down and we allow ourselves to simply be.
Mark Phelan
Born and raised in Dublin. Mark attended the Dublin schools of art and design. He lived in Europe for several years but moved to New York City to be involved in the thriving art, theatre and music scene. Here he found time not only to perform but make a living as a graphic designer and commercial editor
This collection of paintings were done using acrylic on canvas. The themes depicted in the collection he has titled “Blessings“ are fun, loud, colorful and explore an almost childish theme of spirituality and the belief that no matter what your specific beliefs are there is always that ever comfortable feeling that a power greater than yourself is watching over you.
