En la noche inaugural
En la isla, el museo abre su puerta, y el mar azul susurra otra historia. No de arena blanca, sol o gloria, sino del alma de un mundo que se aprieta.
Las fotos cuelgan, lienzos sin ficción, un muro de metal, un grito mudo, rostros que suben, sin temor desnudo, buscando un eco, un poco de razón.
Y la pintura, un corazón que late, donde el color se vuelve metáfora, un tren que huye al filo de la aurora, y un salto al vacío que el alma rescate.
El artista no busca solo el aplauso, su obra es un puente, un diálogo sincero, que el corazón del hombre sea el primero en sentir la herida, el dolor de un acaso.
La gente mira, y no solo ve el trazo, siente la historia que no se ha contado, el muro se derrite, en el pasado, y el arte de la empatía es el abrazo.
Así, en Cozumel, la isla de viajeros, la exposición no es solo un fin, es el comienzo de un nuevo sentimiento, un faro de humanidad para el mundo entero.

-¿Sientes que el objetivo de exponer en el Museo de la Isla de Cozumel fue un éxito?
-Sí, definitivamente fue un éxito. El objetivo principal era generar conciencia sobre la realidad de las personas migrantes, visibilizar sus historias y humanizar un tema que muchas veces se trata desde la distancia o el prejuicio. Poder llevar Humanidad Migrante a un espacio como el Museo de la Isla fue muy significativo, porque conectó a la comunidad local y a los visitantes internacionales con un mensaje de empatía, solidaridad y derechos humanos, en un lugar donde también convergen culturas, movimientos y viajes. La respuesta fue muy positiva, y eso me confirma que el mensaje llegó.
-¿Qué te pareció la respuesta del público asistente a la inauguración de la exposición?
-Me conmovió mucho. Fue una inauguración muy cálida, llena de interés genuino y sensibilidad por parte del público. Escuché comentarios muy valiosos, personas que se acercaron a compartir sus propias experiencias o las de sus familias, reflexiones sobre lo que significa migrar, dejar atrás tu hogar, o buscar una vida mejor. También hubo mucho interés por los colores, los símbolos, y por conocer el trasfondo de cada obra. Fue una noche de diálogo y de conexión humana, que es justamente lo que busco con cada exposición.
-¿Qué opinas sobre la museografía que realizó Sako?
-Me encantó. Sako logró crear una narrativa visual muy poderosa y respetuosa con el contenido de Humanidad Migrante. La disposición de las piezas, la iluminación, el recorrido… todo ayudó a que la exposición tuviera un ritmo emocional que iba desde la reflexión hasta la esperanza. Se nota su sensibilidad y experiencia curatorial. Me sentí muy acompañado en el proceso y muy agradecido por el cuidado con el que se trató cada detalle.
-¿Cuáles son tus próximos proyectos a futuro?
-Estoy trabajando en varios frentes. Continuaremos expandiendo el proyecto del Mural de la Hermandad en nuevos tramos fronterizos, pero también estamos preparando nuevas exposiciones en Latinoamérica y Europa, siempre con el enfoque de arte con causa. También quiero seguir fortaleciendo el trabajo con niños y jóvenes en situación vulnerable, especialmente a través de talleres de arte comunitario. Y por supuesto, vienen más murales y colaboraciones con colectivos y organizaciones que promueven la paz y los derechos humanos.
-¿Algo más que quieras compartir?
-Solo agradecer profundamente al Museo de la Isla, a Sako, y a toda la gente de Cozumel por abrirme este espacio y por recibir el mensaje de Humanidad Migrante con tanto corazón. Mi arte nace del compromiso con las personas, y cada vez que alguien se detiene a mirar una obra y reflexiona, ya estamos generando un cambio. También invito a quienes no han visto la exposición a que se acerquen, que se permitan sentir, cuestionar y empatizar. El arte tiene el poder de unirnos, y eso es lo más valioso que podemos compartir.

On the island, the museum opens its doors,
and the blue sea whispers another story.
Not of white sand, sun, or glory,

-Do you know that the object of exhibition in the Museo de la Isla de Cozumel is an exhibition?
-Yes, definitely it's an exito. The main object will be to generate awareness of the reality of migrant people, to make their stories and humanities visible, a theme that much of their experience is based on distance or prejudice. Poder llevar Humanidad Migrante a space like the Museum of the Island was very significant, because it was connected to the local community and to the international visitors with a message of empathy, solidarity and human rights, in a place where cultures, movements and journeys also converge. The response was very positive, and it confirmed to me that the message was false.
-What do you think about the public response to the inauguration of the exhibition?
-Me conmovió mucho. This was a very warm inauguration, with genuine interests and public awareness. Educated comentarios muy valiosos, people who are willing to share their own experiences or the lives of their families, reflections on what it means to migrate, already atrás you home, or buscar a better life. -What are your next projects to the future?
-Estoy trabajando en varios frentes. We continue to expand the project of the Mural of the Hermandad in our new borders, but we are also preparing new exhibitions in Latin America and Europe, always with the foundation of art with cause. You also need to do more work with children and young people in vulnerable situations, especially through community work. And so, come more murals and collaborations with collectives and organizations that promote peace and human rights.
