Exposición fotográfica y pictórica “En la Neblina Náufraga… No me ofrezcas libertad, necesito una salida”, del artista Andrew Xenios, 70 obras que retratan la arquitectura de la Península de Yucatán, así como la vida y costumbres de las personas que radican en ella.
Lo primero que noté fueron las variaciones de los grupos de personas. Había varios turistas, extranjeros que viven en Cozumel, mexicanos que viven en Cozumel y cozumeleños. Fue emocionante ver la mezcla de diferentes culturas. Respondí muchas preguntas y recibí muchos comentarios positivos.
He tenido cientos de exposiciones durante los 61 años de condición de artista profesional. Debo decir que el museógrafo Sako es uno de los mejores con los que he trabajado. Ella fue muy sensible a mis deseos como 'la artista', mientras mantenía fielmente las pautas del museo. Agregó, en voz baja, los cambios necesarios al espectáculo para asegurar su presentación profesional para mí, el artista y el público.
He estado en varias exposiciones presentadas por el Museo de Cozumel y me han impresionado las presentaciones bajo la dirección de Sako. Gracias a Sako, y la directora del Museo, Isela Carrillo, y la Secretaria de la Directora Emmy, estaba convencida de que valía la pena trabajar duro para presentar mi exposición en este hermoso Museo, en esta hermosa Isla, para esta hermosa gente. Photographic and pictorial exhibition "En la Neblina Náufraga... Don't offer me freedom, I need a way out", by the artist Andrew Xenios, 70 works that portray the architecture of the Yucatan Peninsula, as well as the life and customs of the people who live there.
The first thing I noticed were the variations in the groups of people. There were several tourists, foreigners living in Cozumel, Mexicans living in Cozumel and Cozumeleños. It was exciting to see the mix of different cultures. I answered many questions and received many positive comments.
I have had hundreds of exhibitions during my 61 years as a professional artist. I must say that the museographer Sako is one of the best I have worked with. She was very responsive to my wishes as 'the artist' while faithfully maintaining the museum guidelines. She quietly added necessary changes to the show to ensure its professional presentation for me, the artist and the public.
I have been to several exhibitions presented by the Cozumel Museum and have been impressed with the presentations under Sako's direction. Thanks to Sako, and the Museum Director, Isela Carrillo, and Secretary to the Director Emmy, I was convinced that it was worth the hard work to present my exhibition in this beautiful Museum, on this beautiful Island, for these beautiful people.
